Questions, answered.
Everything you may want to know before booking, arriving, or caring for your lashes.
Before your appointment
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Arrive with clean lashes — no mascara, oil-based makeup, or skincare near the eyes. Contacts out is easiest if you wear them.
Can I wear eye makeup?
It's easiest to arrive without any. Mascara and eyeliner right at the lash line make mapping and bonding harder to do cleanly.
Can I wear contact lenses?
Yes, but most clients find it more comfortable to take them out for the appointment. Bring a case if you'd rather remove them here.
How do I choose a lash style?
Classic, hybrid, or volume — Hailey will walk through what suits your eye shape and natural lashes during your consultation. Browse the Gallery or Services page first if you already have a direction in mind.
Appointments
How long does a full set take?
Most first sets run 1.5–2.5 hours depending on the style. Fills are typically an hour. You'll get an exact window when you book.
What happens during the consultation?
A quick conversation about your eye shape, natural lash pattern, and the look you want, before any mapping or application starts.
When should I book a fill?
Every 2–3 weeks keeps a set looking full and intentional. Waiting longer usually means a new full set instead of a fill.
When do I need a new full set instead of a fill?
If more than about 40% of a set has grown out, or it's been several weeks since your last appointment, a full set usually fits better than a fill. See the Services page for specifics.
Lash care
How long do lash extensions last?
Individual lashes shed on their natural cycle, so full sets generally hold for 2–3 weeks before needing a fill.
How should I care for my extensions?
Keep them clean and brush them gently with a spoolie. Avoid oil-based products near the lash line — oil breaks down the bond.
Can I get them wet?
Yes, once they've fully set — usually a few hours after your appointment. After that, water on its own isn't a problem.
What can affect retention?
Oil-based skincare, rubbing your eyes, sleeping face-down, and your own natural lash cycle all play a part.
Booking & policies
Are deposits required?
Not for every booking. If your appointment requires a deposit or card on file, that requirement is shown before checkout is complete. See the Policies page for the full booking process.
How do I reschedule or cancel?
Rescheduling and cancellation guidelines are listed on the Policies page.
Where can I read the full studio policies?
Every booking, cancellation, and late-arrival guideline lives on the Policies page.
